I promised myself that I would document my birthday the moment I woke up but I slept in and found myself late for an appointment so I was rushing out as soon as my brain powered up. Another plan of mine was to cook myself a ham and cheese omelette for breakfast but that was trashed too since I was late. I felt like collapsing when I was commuting to Manila since I was standing the whole stretch from Laguna to Magallanes until when there were free seats available. As soon as I was in Pedro Gil, I dragged my ass to 711 to get hotdogs and cold tea. Some nourishment, finally!
I went to Manila for our Ortho patient. We have to modify the current appliances to get faster results and we (me and le boyfriend) found ourselves spot-welding a buccal tube to the molar band.
The spot welder was ancient (I forgot to take a picture) and took the longest time. And because of this, my birthday lunch reservation for Vikings was cancelled. Ruthless, man. Just ruthless.
We finished around 12:30 and since me and le boyfriend were hungry and still hopeful, we still braved our way to Vikings for walk-ins. Sadly, they were cutting off the line since the list was full. :( We walked from there to MOA under the scorching heat and we decided to eat at Yakimix instead.
Yakimix was okay. I liked some of the grilled meats, the rest was just…blah.
I was more excited for the desserts but, they turned out to be disappointing and ordinary. Overall, the ambience was nice and the staff were really helpful but I don’t think I’ll eat there again. Huhu.
After lunch, we walked around MOA to help digest the food, then I decided to go home.
For dinner, the family ate out at Max’s which is the nearest restaurant from our place. I don’t know why but the chicken tasted fishy so I just ate the kare-kare instead, even if I my stomach was brimming with meat then. I felt nauseous after, haha.
In general, what I felt about the day was…well, so-so. I didn’t feel special or anything. My definition of special would be letting me sleep until I wake up, a hearty home-made breakfast, ice cream, and a good movie. I feel like every year, I’m being a social recluse and it’s bad. Also, I’m getting old.
Hello, I’m Richelle and I’m 22 years old.
Birthday nails :)
Today, I dropped my glasses on my way out of the bus. I was woken up abruptly and my head was floating since then so I just realized that it was missing when we were already [in our Bataan] home. Immediately, I accepted the fact that I’ll be blind for a few days until I get back to Laguna to have a new pair made, so I just slept. Then, my dad woke me up with my glasses. Apparently, he went all the way to the bus station to pick it up. Huhu. So sweet. I said a drawly thank you, and I slept again. :))
